In the Moon’s Embrace

I think of the day
as part of the night
where lips and rivers
coalesce and touch,
where stars collide
and the body howls.

I cherish the tide
of rising fire,
the parting crack
between dark and dawn,
igniting resurrection
of all consuming light.
