Trick or Treat, A Halloween Verse

Trick or Treat Cover 3

All spooks and all witches have conjured kid’s bewares

witches197

retrieved their wands and broomsticks to raise your hackle’s hairs.

Skulls have bleached their eye teeth; bats have screeched their screams;

bones have loosed their rattle in the playground of your dreams.

The ghosts have wooed their boo, the devil has forked his tail;

the ghouls have donned their stink for the trick or treat regale.

Do Zombies bring a costume?   Which costumes wear a mask?

Vampire

Is that howl from the graveyard?  What’s in the vampire’s flask?

Are closets full of skeletons?  Are goblins filled with flies?

Goblins200

Is your brother or your sister a wolf in sheep’s disguise?
