It is on occasion, after a day of drenching rain, they come out to play. Rain is music to their earthly souls, a primitive reminder of the percussion of sex, the need to partner-up and get down to some serious love making in the wet grass and dirt as lightning bugs and stars ramp up to flicker.

On this Thanksgiving I have a lot to be thankful for, the bloodline that runs through my veins played an integral part in the founding of America. I am a twelfth generation descendant of Pilgrims John Alden and William Brewster. I am related to three US Presidents— John Adams, John Quincy Adams and William Taft. My family’s blood has been sacrificed and spilled for generations creating and defending the Constitution of the United States of America and all the freedoms afforded to this great nation’s citizenry. I still believe in that Constitution as the only saving grace and hope for maintaining this free Nation under God. Continue reading
